HELMETS AND GAS MASKS
. Steel helmets and metal identification discs should soon be in Auckland. The Mayor and Chief Warden, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, said this afternoon, that he was endea\ - ourmg to make arrangements for the sale of metal identification disc* at stores at a uniform price As many helmets would be made asteel available would permit. H" hoped to have some helmets issued within a week. As far as gas masks were concerned Mr. Allum said he was awaiting advice from Wellington concern*»g activated charcoal.
