ENEMY TRADING

REGULATIONS EXTENDED WELLINGTON, Monday. The Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Sullivan, stated tonight that since New Zealand was at war with Japan the terms of the t,nemy Trading and Enemy Property Emergency Regulations, 1939, and amendments became applicable to the following territories, which were classified as enemy territories within the meaning of the regulations:— Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Formosa the Japanese islands and mandated islands, Indo-China, Japanese-occu-pied China, but excluding Macao and the International Settlement and French Settlement at Shanghai. Mr. Sullivan said that no person rn . | S' lt trade or have any dealings with any of the enumerated countries or with any person declared by the Government to be an enemy trader within the meaning of the regulations. Persons possessing, controlling or managing enemy property are re-quu-ed to furnish full particulars to the Public Trustee within 14 days.
