OFFICER PROMOTED
Major F. M. H. Hanson has been appointed to command the Divisional Engineers, Expeditionary Force. He has been granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. He succeeds Colonel G. H. Clifton, M.C., who has been seconded as chief engineer to a British corps. Lieuten-ant-Colonel Hanson is a Wellington civil engineer. He won the Military Medal for bravery in the Great War.
