HOTEL LEGACY

SPINSTER'S GIFTS SALVATION ARMY, HOSPITAL (0.C.) SYDNEY. November 25 After providing various legacies amounting to about £14,000. the late Misa Ella Lynd Tyler, 52, of Bundanoon, has left Bundanoon's only hotel, valued at up to £60,000, to the Salvation Army, and the Bowral Hospital. She had never been heard to talk about the Salvation Army. She was an Anglican but played the organ not only for her own church, but also for the Methodists and Presbyterians. Although being a woman Miss Tyler could not hold the hotel license, she herself managed the running of the place. She conducted it on such strict lines that it became well known that it was impossible to get a drink there after 6 p.m. Miss Tyler also owned the town s water supply; a spring. She inherited the hotel from her parents.
