SPECIAL TRIBUNAL SITS

The first sitting in Auckland of the special tribunal, set up for the purpose of examining the financial position of conscientious objectors whose appeals have been allowed or dismissed subject to non-combatant service, was held yesterday. The tribunal member is Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C. The men concerned in yesterday's hearings were Donald Morison Black, lan William Corin, Thomas Eugene Corin, Ernest Walter Hobson, Gilbert Howard Mudge, Allan Parsons and Graham Cecil Scadden. The proceedings were held in camera. Orders respecting each of these men will be issued in due course.
