Tal.apuna, on a Sunday night, probablv before Christmas, was granted bv Ih'e Takapuna Borough Council ~ last night. The council was informed that the meeting would be of an educational nature, and would consist of lectures on conditions in Russia to-day. It would start a little after 8 p.m. so as not to interfere with the activities of other sections of the community. The branch hoped that, as a result of the meeting, it would be able to make a donation to the campaign organised by the Federation of Labour to send ambulances to Russia.
