VICTORIA LEAGUE

Representatives of organisations which have assisted in the Red Cross shop run under the auspices of the Victoria League for the Red Cross Society Auckland sub-centre general purposes fund were guests of honour at an At Home held in the league rooms yesterday. The league president, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, the chairman, Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, and the president of the Auckland Red Cross Society, Canon R. G. Coats, all expressed their gratitude to the organisations for the help they had given at the shop. A programme arranged by Mrs. H. P. Richmond consisted of songs by Mrs. Alice Ewart and Miss Eleanor Fair and recitations by Mrs. Jock Allan and Miss Marie Rowe. Mrs. Richmond flayed pianoforte solos and also acted as accompanist.
