"THi: QUAKER Uini." Probably one of the most popular comic operas staged during' the last 20 years. "The Quaker Girl." which is to be presented by the Auckland I.ight Opera Company for a season of seven nights, begin- ' ning at His Majesty's Tlieaire on Saturdav afternoon and evening. is causing a Ihrpamount of interest The music is of vow high s'andard arid the comedy scenes are really hilarious. The operetta, too. lends itself to picturesque stage settings. Outstanding features of the production should be the work of the chorus of 100 voices and the operatic orchestra.
