OBITUARY
>IR. J. T. REII) The deatii has occurred cf Mr. James Thomas Reid. of 41. Esplanade Road. Mount Eden, a resident of Auckland for many years. Born at Wick. Caithness. ~ Scotland. 91 years ago. he was for a period proprietor of the John (/Groat's Journal. which was founded by his father in 1536. At the ape of *43. after a serious breakdown in health, he was obliged to leave Scotland, and he arrived in the Dominion wuh his wife by the steamer Arav.a in 1593. Mr. Reid encaged in the paper and printing trades for some years, retiring at the ape of 75. Mr. and Mrs. Reid celebrated their golden wedding six years ago. and Mrs. Reid died in 1930 at the age of Sn. Mr. Reid is survived by ten children. There are a number of grandchildren and great-grandehiidren. MR. J. H. WOHBOYS 'P.A.) "WELLINGTON". Friday. The death occurred at Perth recently of Mr. J. H. W.-rbov?. at the age of ,5. He was for 25 vears headmaster of Kilbirnie school, retiring in 1921. He is survived bv one son. Mr. Harold Worboys. of ' Auckland, and one daughter," Mrs. Ashton, of Perth.
