ANZAC CLIPPER
FIRST VISIT TO AUCKLAND
Anzac Clipper, which left San Francisco yesterday and is due here on Friday, is making her first visit to the South Pacific. Built on the same lines as California Clipper, she is a recent addition to the PanAmerican fleet and has seen service on the Singapore run. She is in command of Captain K. V. Beer. In addition to the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser. and Messrs. C. A. Berendsen and Bruce Turner, members of his party, the passengers include Mr. Hallett Abend, the prominent American journalist, who was for 14 years correspondent of the New York Times in the Far East, and Mr. Eugene Pawley, an executive of Intercontinental Aircraft, who is proceeding to Rangoon on a business trip. Other passenfers are: Mr. Franklin Miller, Miss larie Thialler, Mrs. M. Holkar, Master U. Holkar, Mrs. Hazel Powley (California), Mr. I. Harris (Singapore), Mr. J. Wright. Mr. J. Broome I (England). Mr. Carlton Barkhurst j (Wyoming).
