EPIDEMIC PATIENTS
Satisfactory progress is being made by the twelve cerebro-spinal meningitis cases in the Auckland Hospital. There have been no further deaths.
Measles and mump 3 are still prevalent and the number of soldier patients at the auxiliary hospital at Ellerslie racecourse is 53.
The transfer was made yesterday of 48 patients from the Auckland Hospital to the Auckland Training College, which has been prepared as an auxiliary hospital. Five St. John ambulances were used. This morning two more patients were transferred there. The college is being used to relieve overcrowding at the main hospital.
