Sportsman's Death
MR. WILLIAM M. TAYLOR
Injured In Fall While Hunting
In Waikato
A prominent figure in sporting circles in Auckland has passed in the death at the Auckland Hospital this afternoon of Mr. William Morrow Taylor, of Wheturangi Road, Green Lane. He was aged 06 years, and his death was the result of a fall suffered while hunting in the Waikato five weeks ago on Englishman, a horse which he previously raced. Among other horses which Air. Taylor raced were Holdfast, Golden Wedding, Gay Defence and Solomon.
Bom in Auckland, Mr. Taylor was wellknown in the boot and shoe business as a retailer and manufacturer. He was an enthusiastic horseman and produced just as many horses for the show ring as the race tracks. Even last year he was successful in winning a number of events in the show ring on Englishman. He was a steward and member of the Takapuna Racing Club, a member of the Auckland Racing Club and a life-long' member of the Pakuranga Hunt Club. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, a daughter and two son 6.
