McCoy Trophy to Haynes at Otahuhu — Cashmore Takes Remuera Captain's Prize—No Play at Auckland, Pupuke and North Shore MAUNGAKIEKIE.—A I'our-bail best-ball bogey competition, played at One Tree Hill, resulted:— J. Tanner and J. Lawson. 7 up; C. M. Beckley and G. Beresford. 7 up; S. Lamb and O. Phllson, 5 up; J. L. Hannm and C. S. Craig, 3 up; M. C. Land and H. Tldmarsh. 3 up; A. C. Steele and L. Mincher. 3 up. Tanner and Lawson von on the count-back. OTAHUHU.—The McCoy trophy (36 holes net), concurrent with the qualifying rounds of the club's championships, played on the Grange links. Otahuhu, was won by £. T. Haynes, 90—30—70 and 83—20—73, making 143 net. The runner-up was J. Walker. 82—7—75 and 78—7—71. a. net total of 146. The first four to qualify in each grade were:—Senior: w. B. Eustace. J. L. Clark. J. P. Carde and J. Walker. Intermediate: R. G. Croxson, H. T. Pearson, J. W. Johns. W. J. Melhuish and A. N. Smales, all tied with 183. Junior: E. T. Haynes, C. Doel, S. Phillipson and A. R. Kllgour. OBAKEI.—The qualifying rounds for the senior. Intermediate: N. Robertson, E. MANUKAU.—The quarter finals of the president's trophies were played at Manukau to-day. and results were:—B. Moore beat O. Lltherland. 3 and 2; M. Dudley beat G. Tuck. 1 up; J. Robers beat J. L. Valentine. 2 and 1: J. Cameron beat G. Kunter. 4 and 2. REMUERA.—The final of the captain's prize resulted in M. E. Cashmore beating L. Williams 2 and 1. The secretary's ••rize was won by P. Delaney. who beat P. B. .Vhite 4 and 3. The links will be closed for play till noon on Sunday. AKARANA.—In a Stableford bogey competition at Akarana to-day. H. P. Cullen (S) and P. G. P. Smith (plus 1) returned cards of 33 each. Cullen winning on the count back. The next best cards were:—D. Coyle (2) 32. A. M. Hoare (11) 31. M. Winke (6) 31.
