WOMEN DRIVERS
HEAVY MILITARY TRUCKS (P.A.) HAMILTON, this day. Following on representations made by the military authorities, the Women s Auxiliary Corps in Hamilton has undertaken to provide a number of drivers for the operation of heavy trucks under military control between the Hopuhopu m'ilitary camp and Hamilton. The proposals provide for drivers to operate at least five trucks a day and the scheme is expected to become operative by the end of the week. The present undertaking is a purely voluntary one, the members chosen having offered their services as a contribution to the war effort
