"DIGGERS'" SERVICE
EVENTS IN NEW ZEALAND
More and more people are realising the value of the "Diggers' News Summary." While, in personal letters. New Zealanders may mention Dominion events, they by no means cover the whole field of home news, and therefore do not make up to the men overseas for their loss of their daily paper. By sending the summary to your friend or relative serving with the forces you are providing him with a regular, concise account of all happenings of importance in this corner of the world, the place in which he is most interested.
For 3/ the "Diggers' News" may be sent to any soldier, sailor or airman overseas for 13 weeks. With the summary will also be sent each week a copy of the "Eight o'clock" sports edition.
Subscribers are asked to be careful to supply the number, rank, name and full military, naval or air force address of the intended recipient. Payment may be made either to the "Star" Office or to the local "Star" agent.
