OPEN AGAIN
NGARUAWAHIA CAMP
NO CHANGE AT ROTORUA
The restrictions placed on leave from Ngaruawahia Camp during the week-end, following the discovery of a case of meningitis earlier in the week, were lifted by the Army Department to-day. Should there be no further cases in the camp it is anticipated that visitors will be permitted next week-end and that the men in training will be allowed to leave.
The men with whom the Ngaruawahia patient were associated are still in isolation. It is reported that the territorial, who is in the Waikato Hospital, is progressing favourably.
Though no further cases have developed at Rotorua the camp is still closed and no leave is being allowed. The army authorities consider that the restrictions may be lifted during the week. The contacts are still isolated. The territorial patient in the Rotorua Hospital is making good progress.
