OVERSEAS LEAGUE

RED CROSS WORK

The very good record of the Overseas League Red Cross work was reported recently by Miss E. H. Willoughby, convener of the Overseas League and Australian Members' Emergency Red Cross group. Nine boxes containing hospital requirements and evacuees' clothing were handed over to Mr. A s . A Harker, the third contribution this year.

It was stated that many nonmembers were assisting on Monday afternoons either at work or bridge. The bridge afternoons were providing great help in the purchasing of goods, such as calico and wool.

The league had emergency calls from various quarters, and where possible fulfilled them. Mr. Harker read letters of appreciation received from headquarters in England.
