MR. GARDNER'S CLAIMS The claim that his interests in the electorate had been misrepresented was made last night by Mr. P. RGardner, Independent candidate fir the Waitemata seat, in an address at Takapuna. He said that he b* ' never been asked what his interests '* were, and he claimed that his cafe| nections liad done as much as iwk other family in the electorate for U* . development of the district. Gardner claimed that hisccamp M s!' which stressed the needs of the pendents of the fighting men, and the returned soldiers, had all IMS' borne fruit. Some minor ments had been promised in Budget. The question of further satisfactory adjustments depended upon the voters.
