W. H. Dwyer's Team For Riccarton

(0.C.) WAXGAXUI, Monday. The annual meeting of members of the Wanganui Jockey Club will be held on July 20. The report will show that the club has had a very successful season from a financial point of view. The Wanganui Trotting Club's application for a two-day meeting in September lias been granted, and the fixture will be held at Awapuni. W. H. Dwyer intends leaving for the South with Algerian, Globe Trotter and Pekoe next week, and will race them at the Hunt Club and the National meetings. All three .are in excellent order, Algerian and Pekoe having improved a lot since racing at Awapmii, and Algerian especially is expected to show up in (his engagements in the South. Algerian is not without prospects in the Winter Cup. Globe Trotter never looked better, and the Safari gelding will take a power of beating in whatever event he starts. Pekoe showed great imiprovement between the Waverlpy and Aivapuni meetings, and the Kiosk celding hae done well since, the result being that he should be at his best for Riocarton. He is engaged in the Grand National Hurdles. W. Rayiner had intended to give Ringcraft a run at "the Rangitikei Hunt meeting, but-the Ringmaster geklinu is to be kept for the Wanganui spring meeting, and Rehearsal will be the only one of G. M. Currie's horses to race at Marton. Rehearsal has done a lot of solid work, but will need a race or two before he will be ready to show his best. He hae only to train on right to win some good races in the new season. Plans for Amigo Mr. L. G. Paul, owner-trainer of Amigo, intends to give that gelding a race at the Rangitikei Hunt meeting. The Beau Pere gelding is a very fit horse, and his recent track work suggests that he will add to his winning record early in the new season. The going at Marton will be soft and Amigo will Oiave a stiff weight, but he should take a lot of ibeating, if he goes to the post. Jim Boyd ie well pleased with the ■way First Girl is rprogresssing. The PonvbaJ filly is to have a race at Marton on Saturday week. Miss Rita Jackson Ims Baron Bold in I good shape, and this gelding must be hard to beat in the hurdles at Marton if he is handled to the beet advantage. D. T. Marks gave Taurangi a solid gallop over two circuits on Saturday, the last five furlongs being cut out at a fast clip, although she was not out to make time. The Beau Pere mare pulled up well, and her trainer is hopeful she will be able to race at the Wanganni meeting, although none too confident about her standing up to another Xew Zealand Cup preparation. Tuatara has an enlarged joint and his trainer is none too sanguine of keeping ■him coing However, the Lord Quex gelding looks bright and well on it, and if he trains on will be seen out at the Wanganui meeting in September. Scandal, another inmate of the Fordell stable, has a. "lei?" and Marks will be iucky to keep this gelding going. Ruatiti failed to do any good ■when tried over hurdles, and maybe the last has been seen of this disappointing Limond gelding on the race track. DOPING OF CHEERY JACK BOOKMAKERS OFFER REWARD (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Bookmakers' Council in Victoria is offering a reward of £200 for information leading to the conviction of the persons responsible for the doping of Cheery Jack.
