COLLEGE REUNION
KING'S OLD BOYS MEET The annual genera] of the Kind's College Old Hoys' Association held at King's School on Saturday night, «as attended by about 40 members. The appointment of Bishop Simkin as Bishop of Auckland was mentioned and reference was made to the great work ho hid done for tlie school. It. was divided to send a letter to the former principal of the coll«jfc, -Mr. .1. N". Peart, who is nerving overseas. assuring him of the imprest of members of the association i:i his career and the lu.pe of a speedy retain.
Dr. iloriis proposed the toast of '"The Old School" at a smoke concert held after the meeting, and Mr. 11. IJ. J,.isk. actingprincipal of the college, replied. A roast to Old Boys serving overseas was proposed by Major V. Maxwell and replied to by Colonel T. H. Dawson, C.M.G., C.8.E., V.D. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Bishop Simkin; president. Dr. Selwyn Morris; vice-presidents, Messrs. K. P. Towle and X. A. Duthie: immediate past president, Mr. J. A. B. Heliiby; committee, seniors. Messrs. T. X. T. Jackson, C. Leigh ton, P. Buddie; juniors, Messrs. E. Donald and G. R. Everlss; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Porter; auditor, Mr. H. X. Johnston; old boys' representative at college. Mr. N. C. Pierce. A service was held in the college chapel yesterday and later the Old Boys were the guests of St. John's College Trust Board at dinner.
