WAITEMATA CONTEST INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE The coming Waitemata by-election will be contested by an Independent anti-Socialist candidate in the person of Mr. P. R. Gardner, of Glorit, who has announced his intention to stand. A farmer, Mr. Gardner is a former member of the Whangarei Borough Council, the Whangarei Harbour Board and the Kamo Town Board.
