DUTCH VISITORS

DEPARTURE FOR U.S.A

Mr. van Kleffens and Mr. Welter left for San Francisco by Pan-Ameri-can Clipper this morning. They were farewelled at the air base by the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan said afterwards that both Ministers expressed their grateful thanks to the New Zealand •Government and people for the wonderful hospitality that had been extended to them during their stay in the Dominion. They felt that there was a deep and sympathetic understanding between the people of Holland and the people of New Zealand. It was a bond between old "Zeeland" and new "Zeeland." "Both Ministers expressed the idea that there seemed to be a similarity of nature, mind and type between the people of their own country and the people of New Zealand." he added.
