RESERVIST APPEALS
ADJOURNMENTS GRANTED
Reservists, whose appeals have been adjourned sine die by the Auckland Area Manpower Committee, are being periodically called for hearing. The first batch of these adjourned hearings were taken last night, when three cases were dealt with. The appeal of the National Insurance Company of New Zealand, Limited, on behalf of George Lancelot Whale, an insurance clerk in charge of the accident department, was adjourned sine die conditional on the reservist not commencing three months' camp until December 1. . Courtney James Allpress, a Training College student, who sought a postponement of his services until September 1, was granted an adjournment sine die, provided he notifies the committee of the results of his terms examinations and remains a member of the college Home Guard. Adjournment sine die was also granted in the case of Ronald Alexander Stone, a manufacturer of knitted wear, conditional on his joining the traffic control branch of the emergency precautions scheme.
