MUSEUM ACCESSIONS Among the 27 accessions received by the Auckland War Memorial Museum since the last meeting of the Auckland Institute and Museum Council special mention is made in the latest report of the director, Mr. Gilbert Arc.hey. of mineral specimens from the Port Pegaeiw Mineral Field •Stewart Island, given by Mr. A. Richardson,, three fascicles of New Zealand seaweeda from the Bay of Islands presented by Mr. W. W. Lindauer. an 18th Century copper tea urn presented by Miss Rojrers and a silver wnteli and naval and military medal* presented by Miss V. Rich. An interesting addition to the war colIfctions is a side drum inscribed with the signatures of members of "E" Company 20th Reinforcements. This has been presented by Mrs. Donoghus, of Wellington -Mr. J. D. lucliardeon "has presented a further collection of photographs by Josiah Martin, including studies of the Maoris and of New Zealand forest and sconpvv.
