THE AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION Mr. H. W. Bricn, recently president of the New Zealand Table Tennis Association, presided at last night's annual meeting o( the Auckland controlling body, held at the Y.M.C.A. The annual report commented favourably on the financial position, and mention was made of the encouraging result of the association , ! effort* to foster the game in Auckland secondary schools. Owing to the difficulties experienced with the association's club rooms last season it was unanimously decided to revert to the* system of iome-and-away matches for the various competitions this year.
