Hitler Prepares Germans For Long War

GENERAL SMUTS' VIEWS Rec. 12.30 p.m. PRETORIA, "May S. "We are fighting to, win and we are going to win," said General Smuts in a speech. Hitler not long ago promised the Germans to win the war in 1941, but did not repeat this in his speech a few days ago. He asked the Germans to make a still greater effort, because it is going to be a long war. This is good news, because a long war means certain defeat for Hitler. The war effort will give South \fricans a wider outlook and lay the foundations for a new South Africa.
