liATE SIR JAMES PARR Sympathy with relatives of the late Sir James Parr was expressed at a meeting yesterday of the Auckland Education Board. In moving that a letter should be sent to the relatives, the chairman of the board, Mr. W. J. Campbell, said that Sir James had been a member of the board for eight years, chairman for four years, and Minister of Education for six years before he took up his post as Dominion High Commissioner in London. Mr. Campbell spoke of the educational reforms brought about during Sir James Paw's term of office, and mentioned his especial interest in the intermediate schools.
