LABOUR CONFERENCE. j (0.c.) wkllington. this day. In report ing, on behalf of the Parliamentary Labour party to the Faster conference of the part v. the Prime Minister, the lit. Hun. 1\ Fraser. drew attention to the seri«nj>n»v> of the war situation and sai<l one thinir was paramount—we mn.-t ha\c unity in the nat ion. Ho pleaded with delegates to treat matters from a national standpoint and assured them that should the people he called upon to make sacrifices and torso hard-fought privileges, these would be restored when tne war was won.

Mr. .1. Roberts was re-elected president. defeating Dr. P. (;. McMillan l.\ 42 \otes. The election of other ollicci> is now proceeding by ballot.
