DANISH MINISTER IN U.S

(Reed. 2 p.m.) WASHINGTON*. April 11 The Danish Miniver to the United States. M. Henrik dc Kauffman. advised Mr. Cordell Hull of his refusal to recognise the orders of recall from the Copenhagen Government for granting military defence sites in Greenland to the United States.

Although it was understood that hiGovernment declined the agreement invalid, he had not been so advised, it is clear that the American Government would uphold M. de Kauffman and continue to regard him as Danish Minister. It has been explained that M. de Kauffman acted with the concurrence of the Governors of Greenland.
