DOMINION FLYING FIGHTER.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER. (P.A.) WELLINGTON", this day. According to information received at Air Headquarters to-day, Acting-Wing Commander Samuel Charles Elwortliy has been awarded the Distinguished Service Order. Wing Commander Elwortliy is a New Zealatider, though no record of this officer is held at Air Headquarters. Ho apparently entered the R.A.F. by direct entry in the United Kingdom. He was awarded the Air Force Cross in January and later was promoted from squadron-leader to acting-wing commander. Last month he received the Distinguished Flying Cross.
