ROXY-TIVOLI. \A illiajn Bet ke and George Sherman, well known for their production and direction of a series of westerns for Republic, have turned their hands to the guiding of Gene Autry musical westerns. The result is " Colorado Sunset," which comes on edneaday to the Rosy and Tivoli Theatres. Smiley Burnette and June Storey head the supporting cast. Weary of their present life. Gene Autry and his Texas Troubadours, western singers, commission Frog, played by Smiley Burnette. to purchase a Colorado cattle ranch. Arriving at their new home, they are disgusted to learn that the "cattle'"' are not steers, but cows. Gene discovers that he and hig pals have also won a contract calling for daily delivery of milk to the local milk depot, and they grimly determine to become dairymen. In this picture Gene and Smilev are not alone in rendering songs, for the KMBC Texas Rangers and Patsy Montana als play their part. The strong associate film is Columbia's "The Wildcat of Tuscon," newest VI ild Bill Hickok adventure, with Bill Elliott seen as the famous frontiersman. Featured members of the cast include Evelyn Young, Stanley Brown and Dub Taylor, with a host of other popular outdoor action playens in supporting roles.
RADIANT REVUE. Oil Saturday next, at the Concert Chamber, Ophir Rees and his Radiant Revue Company will appear in a variety revue of comedy, sketches, ballads, tumbling and musical acts. The company comprises 22 star artists and is carefully staged with scenery, lighting effects and elaborate costumes. Among the artists are .Tack Riley, Adele Taylor. Sylvia Poynter, Clyde Cartes, and the Risley Five, an acrobat team of merit. Plans are at Lewis Early, Ltd. The proceeds are fore the Fighting Forces Funds.
