Relays Of Raiders. Relays of raiders heavily attacked a wc-t Midlands town on Wedne-day night, high cxplo-ivcs and lire bombs damaging and wrecking: numerous business premises and houses, says a Press Association cablegram. Several people were killed and others trapped in ruined buildings. The attack, which continued for some hours, is described as the town's heaviest yet. A tunnel used as a shelter received a direct hit and a number of people were trapped.
A north-east coast town also experienced its worst raid, lasting several hours. Many high explosive and incendiary bombs were dropped. A number of tiles were started, but were quickly controlled. High demolished a number of houses. The death roll Nvas nine. Two other towns in the north-east coast, area were raided and property was damaged. An Last Anglian town was al-o heavily attacked for several hours, waves of bombers showering first lire bombs and then high explosives.
