AMBULANCE WORK.
NEW ZEALAND GIRL DRIVER. A New Zealand girl, Miss Lorna I,uke, of Wellington, a granddaughter of the late Sir John Luke, has since January been attached to the American Ambulance (Great Britain), and is the only New Zealander in its personnel. Mise Luke reached England four months before the war began with the intention of travelling on the Continent. Immediately on its outbreak she volunteered for ambulance work. She is now second in command of a unit of the American Ambulance. The equipment is provided by Americans, Including the vehicles and the medical stores, and the personnel is British. The unit dovetails in with the British corps both in the towne and counties.
