PENWOMEN'S CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual jjrnrral meeting of tho Penwomen's Club was held on Friday afternoon. The annual report and balance sheet, showing the elub's finances to be in a satisfactory position, was read by the honorary secretary, Mrs. SydneySmith. The preeident, Mrs. Helen Griffiths, wao presented with a beautiful bouquet by Mrs. R. Innes on behalf of club members as a token of appreciation. Votes of thanks for services to the club were accorded to Mr. Xello Porter (hon. auditor), Mr. R. Heaketh (solicitor), Mrs. Sydney Smith (hon. secretary and treasurer), membere of the. executive, conveners of circles, Mrs. Una Craig (editor, club journal), Miss F. M. Quill (Press and country correspondent), Mrs.. Hammond Hyde, Miss McKay, Mrs! E. Griffin (club housekeeper). The election of officers resulted: President, Mrs. Helen ririffithe (reelected unopposed); vice-presidents Mrs. E. Schmidt, Mrs. W. Osborne Mrs W. McKinney. : " " During the afternoon a talk on the evacuation of Dunkirk was given byMiss F. L. Xoake.
