MOTOR ACCIDENT.
APPEAL COURT SEQUEL. QUERY OVER CONVICTION. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Appeal Court is to-day hearing an appeal by Norman Harrison arising from a motor accident in which Stanley ttobert Nixon was injured, and which was the subject of a case at the criminal sittings in the Supremo Court at Auckland last October. A verdict was returned that Hajrrison was guilty of failing to stop, failing to ascertain "whether Nixon had been injured, and failing to render all practicable assistance. Mr. Justice Fair then reseved for the Appeal Court the questions as to whether Harrison could properly be convicted on the charges on which he had been found guilty, in view of the fact that another man, Alfred Beard Talbot, was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident, and Talbot had been acquitted by a jury of similar charges. These questions were argued by the Appeal Court to-day and decision was reserved.
