The Fifth Reinforcement was made up substantially of volunteers. The voluntary system of enlistmenf for the 2nd N.Z.E.F. ended on July 22 last year. A total of tiO,S!2 men volunteered. The total of Auckland men drawn in the two ballot* for overseas service is 5170.
