MR. E. C. FOWLER TO STAND. A ■ large deputation of citizen* of Xortheote waited on Mr. K. C. Fowler yesterday and asked him to accept nomination as Mayor. Mr. E. C. Fowler .consented to be nominated. Mr. K. C. Fowler lias been a councillor for ei«>lit years and has acted as deputyMayor for the last five years. He is also
chairman of the works committee and, as pointed out by the deputation, it k largely by his knowledge of engineering and untiring energy that the local water supply has been brought to eueh a satisfactory position. The* deputation thanked Mr. E. C. Fowler and expressed every confidence in him.
