N.Z.E.F. IN ENGLAND.
WOMAN'S TRIBUTE. VERY HAPPY MEMORIES. Indicating the impression made by the N.Z.K.F. in Kngland und revealing the feelings of F.nglish people, the following letter from Mrs. Violet Pym. who lives in Kent, written to Colonel K. S. Park. New Zealand Military Liaison Officer in Britain, has been received by the Minister of Defence: — "During this autumn I hail the privilege of billeting part ot a certain battery of New Zealand Artillery on and around this farm —som.e fifty or sixty men and live officers. My husband and son* being either on active service or away at school, and only myself and small daughter left at home. I viewed the arrival of the troops with a little apprehension, but my slight anxiety was short lived. 1 have never met with sucii consideration, courtesy, gentleness and cheerful adaptability, and the sense of brothers in arms that existed iH'twecn oflicers and men was an? inspiration. We have not up to now had any connection with Xcw Zealand, and I regret to say. little knowledge of your beautiful country, but from down in this small corner of h)ng!and will go out a strong link of interest and friendship. It was very sadly that we one day had to say goodbye to them all, but their stay here will always remain one of our \cry happicet of memories."'
