TEST PLAYER KILLED.
G. G. Macaulay, the noted Yorkshire all-rounder, whose death in action was reported recently, was noted chiefly as a bowler, and performed many remarkable feats with the ball. In a first-class career extending from 1920 to 1935 he scored 6212 runs at 18 an innings, and took 1838 wickets at 17 runs each. He played in one Test againet Australia at Leeds in 1926, when he and George Geary were associated in a ninth wicket partnership/, of 75 whoii England was in a bad wa£.
