"THE POSTMAN."
A school magazine with a distinct personality, "The Postman, 1040," produced from contributions by pupils of the correspondence school of the New Zealand Education Department, ie to hand. Excellently printed and illustrated by the Government Printery, it provides the information that over 3000 pupils in remote pllaces of the Dominion are getting their education in primary and secondary subjects through the correspondence school, and that extra school subjects of common interest, from Red Cross to camera work, have resulted in the formation of lo societies and circles. The little stories and poems, some of them self-illustrated, form a fascinating study of development and aptitudes. Contributions by the older pupils, together with illustrations of themselves and of their environments, throw illuminating sidelights on the work done by the school.
