CHRISTMAS PARTY.

The annual breaking-up party of St. Mark's Kindergarten took place yesterday afternoon with a large attendance of parents and friends of the young pupils. The hall had been beautifully decorated for the occasion with festoons of pink rambler roses, which were looped from pillar to pillar. On the walls were friezes on a background of blue on which various animals were portrayed. These friezes were the work of the children.

Prizes for work done during the year were presented by Bishop Simkin. This ceremony was followed by a demonstration of the school songs, exercises and percussion bands. After tea the children presented their parents with gifts made during the year. Santa C'laus was present, and pave each child a gift from the huge Christmas tree which was 011 the stage. The parents and guests were received liv the principal, Miss Edith Partridge.
