THE HOME GUARD.
ENROLMENTS IN SUBURBS. There wa* an attendance of about 60 at a Home Guard meeting held at the Greenwood's Corner Methodist Church Hall, Mount Roskill, last night. About 25 enrolments for the local Home Guard were received. The chairman was Mr. L. A. Tozer. and Major MacDonnell and Mr. A. G. Osborne, M.P., were speakers. The committee have arranged parade grounds and a parade is to be held in the near future. i Active step* are being taken at I Ellerslie in connection with the formation of a Home Guard. At an athletic meeting at the Domain next I Monday evening an address will be jivcn. I and a public meeting »-ill be held on 'Tuesday evening.
