MILITARY WEDDING.
PLATT—KENDALL.
WATERED CREAM TAFFETA GOWN.
St. Marimbas' Church, Mount Eden, was the scene n: an attractive military wedding, when Miss Mary Kendall, eldest daughter of Mr. and '.Mrs. J. \V. Kendall, ot Mount Kden. was married to Second-Lieutenant Frederick Charles I'latt, eldest i-on of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. I'latt, ot Henderson. The Hev. (J. K. Monteith officiated. The church was decorated with masses of white and pink blooms. Fellow officers formed a guard of honour after the ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of watered cream taffeta with an Empire lace front, and of mutton sleeves. Ihe skirt was cut 011 straight lines forming a long train. A veil of Alencon lace was worn over the face, and fell softly over the shoulders into a long train. It was held in place by a cluster of or-inge blossom. A beautiful sheath of Christmas lilies was carried.
