The difficulties encountered through having to enter camp, thu.« interrupting -t iiiliey, were mentioned Itefore the WeC liiigtrni Manpower Committee when it vas reported that the whole question of medical students was being investigated by the authorities in order to erasure that their studies were not unduly interrupted by territorial training. The committee was hearing the appeal of a medical student ajbout to go to the medical school at Dunedin, who appealed for the postponement of his military ■service obligations. When called lip he asked to be taken to camp immediately, but the authorities could not take him until the end of March, by which time his studies would have been resumed. Members expressed th* opinion that the university authorities should endeavour to adjust the course of training to lit in with the military obligations of -tudents- even if it meant the intensification of *tudy and the reduction of holidays. The ease was adjourned.
