HAMILTON", this day. The presentation of £1000 to the Wnikato Sub-centre of the Red Cross Society by Prince-** Te Puea was a feature of the Maori celebrations at Waahi pa to-day. In accepting the gift Mr. A. E. Gibbons, president of the centre, paid a tribute to the work of the Maoris in raiding the amount, and said it would serve as an example to other section? of the Maori people and an inspiration te «U oentrea.
