SCOUT'S FORTITUDE.
HIGH AWARD MADE.
FIVE YEARS IN HOSPITAL.

Dominion Headquarters, Wellington, of the Boy Scout movement, lias received advice from Imperial Headquarters. London, that the Cornwall scout decoration, scoutinga highest award, has been given to Scout Stanley Cole, aged 17, who is at present in the Wellington public hospital. The award has been made to him for hie heroic and cheerful endurance of suffering. Scout Cole has been in hospital for the last five years. In that time he has undergone more than 20 major and a similar number of minor operations. Recently he had a leg amputated. His cheerfulness, fortitude au<l courage are stated to have impressed all those with whom he has come in contact. A formal presentation will be made on arrival of the decoration from England.—(Press Assn.)
