NEW ACTIVITIES.
AUCKLAND AERO CLUB. A series of lectures by the Auckland Aero Club will commence at the club rooms, Lister Buildings, Victoria Street East, to-morrow evening at eight o'clock. The lectures will be given by' Mr. E. F. G. Sharp, the originator of the aircraft club in New Zealand.
The series will consist of 12 lectures, the first two'being on elementary aerodynamics. Lectures will then be given in sequence under the following headings: Stability, control, design, structures, steels, timbers, fabrics and nonmetallic materials, rigging, instruments and airscrews.
All members are invited to be present and those who are interested in becoming members are advised to communicate with the secretary, Mr. L. W. Swan.
The club has recommenced practical operations, although most of its plant and equipment was taken over by the Government at the outbreak of war. The aerodrome was used by the- Air Department for some six months, but has now reverted to the possession of the club.
