FALL DOWN CLIFF.

BOY FATALLY INJURED. SUGGESTION BY CORONER. A verdict that death was due to a fractured skull accidentally received was returned by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, at an inques-t yesterday afternoon into the death of John Gordon Crrmmins, generally known as Jack Mitchell, a boy of 10 years, who died in the Auckland Hospital on September 30. Deceased was with a step-brother at St. Mary's Bay, Ponsonby, . and - he climbed a cliff to gather some flowers. A branch of a bush he was holding on to broke awav and deceased fell about 30ft. In returning his verdict, the coroner suggested that the police should inspect the cliff to see if anything could be done to prevent further accidents of the kind.
