PURCHASE OF TUG.

KUHEA CHANGES HANDS. ' i GREYMOUTH, Thursday. Unable; owing to - war conditions, to carry out its original plan of securing a combined dredge and tug from England, the Greymouth Harbour Board has now completed arrangements for the purchase in Auckland of a 66-ton vessel, the Kumea, which is scheduled to arrive in Greymouth in six weeks. The Kumea was built in Scotland in 1928, but was assembled in Auckland. She is 73 feet long rfnd has a beam of 16 feet with a moulded depth of eight feet. The vessel has been secured at a cost of £3500, but before it is suitable and ready for use by the board the cost will be slightly in excess of £7000.
