REP. MATCH THIS WEEK. ROOPE ROOSTER "CROWS" SEPTEMBER /£ At last night's' meeting, of the Auckland Rugby League arrangements for the Auckland versus Maoris 'representative match at Carlaw Park on Saturday were finalised. It was decided to commence a series of the Roope Rooster competition on Saturday week. The New Zealand Rugby League advised that, owing to the expense likely to be Involved, the proposed match between The Rest of New Zealand' and Hie Auckland representatives has been abandoned. Permission was granted the City third grade team to travel to New Plymouth on Saturday next. Mr. W. Clarke was appointed manager, as representative of the junior control board. A letter of congratulation is to be sent to the 'Richmond Club upon its winning of the senior championship. Referees For .Saturday. Representative game: Auckland "r.
